Okinawa Media Planning only sells Region ALL and NTSC video format DVDs.
Please verify the region code and video format for the country you reside prior
to purchasing any DVD. Also, be aware that Okinawa Media Planning, the publisher of The Okinawan and the owner
of this website cannot answer any of your questions regarding DVD region codes and video format.
Finally, note that if your computer has a DVD player software, you might also be able to enjoy our DVDs on your personal computer.
- DVD region encoding Region codes determine DVDs that are compatible with the players of that region. Almost all current titles play in only one specific region unless otherwise specified. Below is a list of regions for standard DVDs.
Region 0 or Region ALL: no restriction
Region 1: USA and its Territories, Canada and Bermuda
Region 2: Japan, Europe, South Africa, and the Middle East, including Egypt
Region 3: Southeast Asia, East Asia, including Hong Kong
Region 4: Australia, New Zealand, Pacific Islands, Central America (including Mexico), South America and the Caribbean
Region 5: Former Soviet Union, Indian subcontinent, Africa, North Korea, and Mongolia
Region 6: China
- Video format (TV system) Japan and North America use the 60 Hz, NTSC format. Other countries use PAL, SECAM, or other video standards. Please aware of this before purchasing any DVD.
